IND vs WI: India Tour of West Indies 2023 Schedule, Squads

Team India’s next assignment after the WTC 2023 Final is an all-format tour of the West Indies. India will play 2 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 5 T20I matches in West Indies and USA. India vs West Indies 2023 series will start on 12th July 2023 and end on 13th August.

The two Tests will be part of the 2023-25 World Test Championship cycle. India last toured West Indies in 2022, winning the T20 series by 4-1 and the ODI series by 3-0. India last played a Test in West Indies in 2019.

India vs West Indies 2023 Match Schedule

Windsor Park, Dominica, will host the first Test match from 12-16 July, while the second Test will be at Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad between 20-24 July. The second Test will be the historic 100th Test between India and West Indies. The Test matches will start at 7:30 PM IST.

The first two ODIs will be at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on July 27 and 29, and the series will conclude at the Brian Lara Stadium, Trinidad, on Aug 1. The ODI matches will start at 7 PM IST.

The T20I series will start in Trinidad on Aug 3 before moving to Guyana for the next two matches on Aug 6 and 8. Both teams will fly to Florida, USA, to play the final 2 T20Is on Aug 12 and 13 and conclude the tour. The T20I matches will start at 8 PM IST.

23 June 2023 BCCI has announced India cricket team squad for the Test series and three ODIs against the West Indies. The squad for the five T20Is was announced on 5 July 2023.

India Test Squad for Tour of West Indies 2023

There are 3 newcomers in the India’s Test squad – Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Mukesh Kumar, while long time No. 3 Pujara has been dropped. Pace bowler Shami is rested and Navdeep Saini comes in place of Umesh Yadav.

Sanju Samson, Ruturaj Gaikwad and uncapped Mukesh Kumar are part of the 17-man ODI squad led by Rohit Sharma and vice-captain Hardik Pandya. Jadeja and Axar are the two spin-bowling all rounders, while Chahal and Kuldeep are the two frontline spinners.
